Wonderful posting of mantis pics....they are such awsome entities. Late one night, as I was engrossed in stumbling, something flew (at least I thought it flew,,,)from my left side through my line of sight. Lo and behold, it was a mantis:). It had somehow made its way in with me from outside. It landed on my monitor screen, lingering a bit and ultimately ended up hanging out in my den for a couple of days. (I captioned my pic of it microsoft mantis, lol.) I finally lured it outside by way of a yardstick and a quick walk to our front door.

These pics are awesome. We once had a preying mantis in our house and my boys named him/her Francis. It was with us for several weeks before we let it go outdoors. It managed to lay a sac of eggs in one of our plant trees. I removed the sac very gingerly and placed it outside so that they were in their natural habitat. Too cool. A memory we will keep with us forever. :)
