The seven deadly sins, also known as the capital vices or cardinal sins, have long been a source of inspiration for writers and artists, from morality tales of the Middle Ages to modern manga series and video games.

Here are some creative photographs inspired by Gluttony, Lust, Wrath, Sloth, Pride, Greed and Envy plus a famous quote for each of those seven deadly sins.
Gluttony
“Gluttony is an emotional escape, a sign something is eating us.” – Peter De Vries
Lust
“The most violent appetites in all creatures are lust and hunger; the first is a perpetual call upon them to propagate their kind, the latter to preserve themselves.” – Joseph Addison
Wrath
“Fairest and dearest, your wrath and anger are more heavy than I can bear; but learn that I cannot tell what you wish me to say without sinning against my honour too grievously.” – Marie de France
Sloth
“Sloth like rust, consumes faster than labor wears, while the used key is always bright.” – Benjamin Franklin
Pride
“A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of course, as long as you’re looking down, you can’t see something that’s above you.” – C.S. Lewis
Greed
“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Envy
“Envy consists in seeing things never in themselves, but only in their relations. If you desire glory, you may envy Napoleon, but Napoleon envied Caesar, Caesar envied Alexander, and Alexander, I daresay, envied Hercules, who never existed.” – Bertrand Russell

I thought these were pretty neat. It’s a shame the male model wasn’t very good at being honest in the photos. His face was very fake and staged. Next time, find a model that can really capture the emotions without it looking staged.
I agree, with someone, I’m sure of it. I’m not the only one with this opinion, due to sheer amount of people out there.
These pictures are alright. There’s a lot of talent involved, but the relationship isn’t there. Check out the childhood fear ones. Those are childhood fears. This is just a shirtless guy taking pictures of his girlfriend with a loose theme barely played out. Sorry, but your talent is there, it needs to be refined by critisisms and failures. Good luck
Reading the negative critical remarks, I am reminded of the aphorisms: “everyone’s
a critic” and “opinions are like assholes: everyone has one”. A harshly negative opinion should contain a link leading to that critic’s (purportedly superior) work
in the same vein. I submit that the leading critics have at best limited experience
taking vacation snapshots with a point-and-shoot. Perhaps they are troubled by the
darker places these works lead them to. I admire the work here, especially the nightmare-like representations of childhood fears.
hey, these photos are extremely good and are of the same theme of which im doing my project. If im going to use these photos as inspiration i need information about the photographer so please could you possibly e mail me some. thank you x
wow! galing!
amazing….these picks are accentuating….were really helpful for our fashion show.thanx
I like the general direction, the female model is stunningly beautiful, but as forementioned they lack a certain spark that truly embodies the sins themselves…
I enjoy gluttony, and the first sloth photo, along with the first greed, but the rest seem a bit out of place and completely irrelevant…
Great photoshop work though, I must say!
i really like these pictures i think they are great and most of them represent the deadly sins pretty well, i couldn’t see the link with some of them though. my favorite two are sloth and pride.
hi, these pictures are AMAZING! they have helped me so much with my art project this term.
love the envy pictures so so much!
Wow!!! It’s amazing!!!
ммм… красиво… и качество радует…
so 4 of your photos actually triggered that in me. you hit home with those. the rest of them for me personally were kind of awful… . . . didn’t evoke the feeling that was stated at all for me
